This year too Earth Reel is going to be an exciting event. This unique initiative by Bichitra Pathshala and Earth Day Network tries to sensitize the students about the importance of saving our environment and sustainable development.
The students from different schools participate and submit their films on different issues and debates related to a range of themes, starting from global warming, overpopulation, and natural disasters to environmental degradation, pollution, and waste management.
This year’s Orientation Programme of Earth Reel will take place at iLEAD auditorium on the 25th April 2017.
So, be there to participate in the crusade against environmental degradation!
On 21st and 22nd April 2017, Bichitra Pathshala is going to organize a video editing workshop “Juxtapositions” at Kendriya Vidyalaya Ballygunj. The workshop will be facilitated by Subha Das Mullick and Shankar. The teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya will gain hands on knowledge of video editing software, with lots of tips and tricks for preparing exciting audio-visual learning materials for the class room.

News Capsule (Juniors) category was won by the team from Shri Shikshayatan with a spot about a Tree planting Campaign in their school.
Earth Reel (Competition of student made environmental films) jointly organised by Bichitra Pathshala, Earth Day Network and ILead was held in April 2013. Almost 100 entries were submitted from different schools.
In the Public Service Advertisement category the trophy for the best PSA was won by an animation film on cutting trees by Loreto Day School, Dharamtala.
